The AI transition is not an abstraction. It is already underway — displacing jobs, concentrating power, and raising questions most societies are entirely unprepared to answer. The economic models, civic frameworks, and governance structures needed for a post-labor world have not yet been built.
Future's People exists to build them — in public, and with the people who are living the questions. That means new economic models, new civic literacy, and real agency for ordinary people in the transition away from labor as we know it. We don't claim to have all the answers. We're building with the people who are living them.
The question kept getting bigger.
Future's People was founded by two practitioners with twenty years in branding and communications. They had built strong businesses — and in doing so, recognized a gap they had consistently underserved: the people doing the work. That recognition was the seed: an organization originally built around the belief that work should be good for the people inside it.
As AI accelerated, the founders saw that something larger was happening: what happens when work itself is no longer the organizing principle of society? The anxiety, the identity disruption, the economic uncertainty — these weren't just workplace problems. They were the defining problems of a generational transition. Future's People expanded its scope accordingly.
Today, Future's People operates at the intersection of research, civic literacy, open technology, and grassroots organizing — fusing the things the transition actually requires into a single mission. We operate globally, build in public, and answer to the people living the questions — not the people funding the answers.

We spent twenty years building brands and technology companies — shaping how organisations present themselves to the world. We were good at it. What we were slower to reckon with was what that work was doing to the people inside those organisations. When AI began transforming the economics of skilled work — not gradually, but structurally — we recognised the question we'd been avoiding. Future's People is our attempt to take it seriously.
